Refund policy

Return window

You may request a return within 14 days of receiving your guitar. Please contact us before sending anything back.

Eligibility

To be eligible, the guitar must be in the same condition you received it: in as-new condition, undamaged, and complete with its case, accessories, paperwork and original packaging. Evidence of play wear, scratches, dents, altered setup, or any modification may void return eligibility.

Made to order and personalised items

Custom builds, personalised instruments or bespoke specifications are not returnable, except where required by law or if there is a defect covered by our Limited Warranty. This is consistent with UK and EU rules for goods made to a customer’s specification.

How to start a return

Email karl@turnstoneguitar.co.uk with your order number, serial number and reason for return. We will provide return instructions and a return authorisation. Items sent back without prior approval will not be accepted.

Where to send returns

Return shipping and responsibility

Unless we have agreed otherwise due to a fault on arrival, the customer is responsible for return shipping, insurance and safe packing. Please use a fully insured, trackable service. The guitar remains your responsibility until it is received and inspected by us.

Any duties or taxes incurred on return shipments are the responsibility of the customer unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Damaged, incorrect or faulty on arrival

Please inspect your delivery on receipt and contact us immediately with photos if anything is damaged, incorrect or appears faulty. We will evaluate and, where appropriate, arrange repair, replacement or collection at our cost.

International orders, duties and taxes

For orders delivered outside the United Kingdom, prices exclude UK VAT. Import duties, local taxes and customs clearance fees may be charged by the destination country on delivery. These charges are set by local authorities and couriers, not by Turnstone Guitar Company, and are the responsibility of the customer.

In the event of a return from outside the UK, any import duties, local taxes or clearance fees paid on delivery are non-refundable. Where a returned item re-enters the UK, any import charges incurred may be deducted from the refund. We will assist with documentation where reasonably possible, but recovery of such charges cannot be guaranteed.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will confirm approval or the reason for refusal. If approved, refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days. If the instrument is returned with signs of use, damage, or missing items that reduce its value, we reserve the right to make a deduction from the refund to reflect that loss in value.

Your bank or card provider may take additional time to post the credit. If 15 business days pass after our approval and you have not received the refund, please email karl@turnstoneguitar.co.uk.

Exchanges

If you would like a different guitar, please return the original for a refund once approved and place a new order.

Your statutory rights

This policy applies in addition to your statutory rights under applicable consumer law, including the EU 14-day cooling-off rights for distance purchases where applicable. The cooling-off right does not apply to custom-made or personalised goods.
