It also keeps the neck and headstock closer to the body than an equivalent 14-fret design, helping the guitar sit comfortably in your lap.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 13-fret join also keeps the bridge closer to the soundboard’s sweet spot.
